Taiwan Cultural Tour 2017 - Asia India Festival & Opening of Indian Museum

The 2017 Asia Indian Cultural Festival, themed "Folk and Classical Dance of India," was held in Taiwan from December 16 to 22. BEYOND Bollywood was invited by the Taipei India Music & Culture Organization to participate in this historical event. The festival provided a wonderful opportunity to share cultural experiences among India, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Beyond Bollywood was honored to perform at the Asia Indian Cultural Festival 2017 and at the opening of the Indian Museum organized by the Taipei India Music & Culture Organization. This collaboration highlighted the rich cultural connections between the regions and celebrated the diversity of Indian dance and music.

BEYONDancing BOLLYWOOD Night 2017

BEYONDancing Bollywood Night 2017 was organized by Beyond Bollywood in partnership with the Centre for Community Cultural Development (CCCD) and Feel the Beat Dance Studio HK. This vibrant event celebrated the rich cultural tapestry of Hong Kong, a crossroads of East and West, where diverse cultures have evolved over millennia. The event aimed to highlight the magical amalgamation of cultures, emphasizing the role of Bollywood dance, particularly Kathak. It featured Indian musical performances, a series of non-stop live dance performances from a total of eight performing teams, a Bollywood photo booth, Indian snacks, and henna art by donation, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere. The evening showcased how East and West could cohere through the establishment of a strong and diverse community of Bollywood dance in the wonderful city we live in.

Living Art in MTR

The "Living Art Stage" brings a rich variety of artistic performances, including music, dance, and theater, to the MTR stations, integrating art into the passenger experience and enhancing the cultural atmosphere of their journeys. Every Friday evening from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM, the Central Subway of Hong Kong Station (in the paid area near Entrance/Exit C) transforms into a vibrant stage for professional artists and amateur performers to showcase their talents.
On March 17, 2017 (Friday), BEYOND Bollywood was honored to perform alongside 22 dancers from six different teams, presenting various styles of Bollywood dance at the Central Subway of Hong Kong Station. This lively event highlighted the diversity and richness of Bollywood dance, engaging the public and adding to the cultural vibrancy of the MTR experience.
